Many players were unsure whether the “No Build” mode would remain in Fortnite, but now on March 29, Epic has taken action. A trailer and four new modes now adorn the players’ selection in their collection of activities.
What has Epic removed in Fortnite? In Fortnite, the popular yet disliked characteristic has been removed – Building. Players were surprised at the release of the second season of the battle royale shooter when they entered matches, but no building was available.
Sloane, a character from the Fortnite story, deactivated building, resulting in tougher battles on the battlefield. Despite this, many players enjoyed finally landing on the map without getting caught up in sweaty build battles. Many feared that the No-Build mode was temporary and that it would say goodbye on March 29.
However, a new trailer and modes in Fortnite now assure the opposite and let you choose how you want to play.
Build or Not Build? You Have the Choice!
Epic has put together a new trailer showcasing cool and action-packed scenes where no building is active:
The Jetpacks stowed in the vault are visible, including a large rocket launcher that lets you easily get rid of the annoying tanks and a lot of shooting. Epic refers to the four modes for solos, duos, trios, and teams as “No Building” and they have been available to select in the menu since March 29.
What do players say about the decision? The community’s response under the trailer is overwhelmingly positive. They comment with statements like:
- “This trailer is really sick! Honestly, I love not building!” – Placid
- “I really love the new No-Building because the game feels super fresh and you have to think about how to play without building. Great job, Epic!” – Zefew
- “The game is so fresh without building! Reminds me of the OG days.” – prize
With this decision, Fortnite can maintain its trademark while remaining interesting for many “non-builders.”
But where are the build modes? As you may have noticed, the build modes are not visible. This is due to a bug that Epic will fix soon. Whether a hotfix will be provided or if Epic will handle it internally is not known. We will keep you updated if Fortnite enables these.
