In Fortnite: Battle Royale, the popular streamer and Twitch star Ninja fell victim to a devious conspiracy. Trolls teamed up to fabricate evidence of privileges that Ninja likely never had.
What exactly happened? For some time now, the immensely popular streamer Ninja has been making headlines. And not just because he’s complaining about aim assist on gamepads.
It concerns the fact that he has reported players for misconduct several times in his streams. Apparently, Ninja bragged that he could get them banned as well.
Now it is said that such a ban actually occurred due to a report by Ninja.
In a Reddit post, a player reports that he was reported by Ninja due to bad ping. Shortly thereafter, his account was allegedly banned.
“Ninja can get players banned” becomes a huge topic on Reddit
The post on Reddit has over 4,400 comments and 44,100 upvotes. The supposed “special ban privileges” of Ninja were therefore a big deal for the Fortnite community.
Ninja’s opponents feel vindicated: Many players feel confirmed in their assumptions that Ninja is a privileged, arrogant figure who can have people thrown out of the game at will.
For his opponents, this is a boon, and Ninja’s reputation has taken a hit.
There are even memes saying “Watch what you do, or Ninja will ban you!”
What was behind the accusations?
Epic clarifies: Not long after the accusations, there was a statement from Epic meant to clarify the whole mess.
Ninja has no special ban rights, and no one will be banned just because Ninja might have demanded it in a stream. For in reality, it was all a fake.

Someone wanted to deliberately harm Ninja: But it seems to go even further. It appears that the accusations against Ninja were part of a sinister conspiracy aimed at ruining Ninja’s career.
After this “evidence” caused a stir, the perpetrator of the action even bragged about it on Discord: “What can I say, we finally ruined his career, HAHA!”

Ninja won’t be brought down
How does the community react? Ninja has many fans, but also many opponents who resent his success or simply dislike him. For them, the accusation is a welcome confirmation of their prejudices.
Others, however, defend Ninja, including fellow streamer and frequent gaming partner DrLupo. He pointed out the fake accusations in a tweet.
Ninja (and other streamers) are appalled at how quickly many players believe everything they read on Reddit and co., and immediately assume the worst.
This is what Ninja says: Ninja himself remains calm. He sees the attempts to attack him only as a reason to get even better in the future and not to give any more actions that provide fodder for his opponents. So no trolling and no cheeky comments anymore.
Even if he has lost followers due to the incident, he is confident that it will not harm his career in the long run.
