Professional players Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Reverse 2k achieve an impressive world record together. They recorded the longest win streak in the world in Fortnite, in duo mode. A Twitch clip shows the moment of their triumph – there they celebrate their new world record in Fortnite.
What happened? The professional player Ninja and his duo partner Reverse 2k wanted to break the record for “most consecutive matches won.” The previous record was a win streak of 42, held by Siqqza.
The duo needed 43 consecutive wins to set a new record.
Ninja and Reverse 2k had already played together in the Fortnite World Championship. Their highest win streak before was 29. They wanted to try and were confident in breaking the record.
Ninja and Reverse 2k achieve the world record together
How did they achieve the record? The two professionals wanted to play tactically, as they were live streaming the attempt. The risk is high that stream snipers will interfere. They did not show where they would land and held back.
Ninja said: “Let the other duos fight each other first.”
It is known that Ninja is afraid of stream snipers and prefers to avoid them.
Between matches, there were two critical moments:
- At the first moment, Ninja was down due to a disconnect, but Reverse 2k was able to face the last 4 opponents and took the victory.
- At the second moment, Reverse 2k was down because he got caught in the storm. The last 2 players also died, and Ninja took the victory.
How did the professionals react to the success? Excitement grew in the last match, as they were so close to breaking the world record. When the last opponent was dead, Reverse 2k shouted: “Nice!”
Ninja was excited and said: “Let’s go, baby, let’s go! Oh my God. The record, give it to me! Give it to us! Wow!” Afterward, they tweeted about their success:
Ninja already had a world record for the most eliminations in duo vs. squad, but it was taken from him by 2 French players.
What do you think of this success? Would you be able to achieve it as well?
The success for Ninja is especially nice because doubts about his Fortnite skills arose after he failed to qualify for the World Championship:
