Streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has commented on the lifetime ban of FaZe Jarvis (17) in Fortnite . He demands preferential treatment, saying one cannot treat the boy like an ordinary cheater.
This is the situation: The successful YouTuber Jarvis “Jarvis” Kaye announced on November 3 via a YouTube video that he has been banned for life in Fortnite. He had used an aimbot on a secondary account.
He apparently did not expect such a harsh punishment. In the video, the YouTuber and professional player appeared distraught.
He has lost an important part of his life with Fortnite. He owes his career to the game. Now, he does not know how it will continue without Fortnite.
He is young and made a dumb mistake
This is what Ninja says: The probably most famous Fortnite player in the world, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, was out with some friends on November 4 and played Fortnite. He spoke on the situation of FaZe Jarvis.
Basically, Ninja finds a ban for aimbotting justified. However, he believes that a penalty of 3 or 6 months would be sufficient.
Ninja says:
“He is still very young. This is a dumb boy who made a dumb mistake and did not think it through. But it was not a tournament, it was not a Cash Cup.”
Ninja believes Epic should grant FaZe Jarvis preferential treatment. One must be realistic; there is such a thing in the world.
This is also the right approach for Fortnite; after all, content creators are important for a game.
Content Creators need preferential treatment
This is Ninja’s argument: Above all, one must consider the impact of a ban on someone like FaZe Jarvis. He has nearly 2 million followers on YouTube. What should he do now? He has to switch from the most popular game in the world, which has defined him, to a less popular game.
The ban is simply stupid because it has such a large impact:
- If a nobody, someone without a Twitter and YouTube channel, uses an aimbot and gets banned, it does not matter – he just makes a new account
- But for a successful YouTuber like Jarvis, a permanent ban is a heavy blow
This discrepancy must be taken into account.
Ninja advocates for measuring with “two different scales” and taking FaZe Jarvis’s situation into account. He does not see this emotionally, but only realistically: there should be some preferential treatment for content creators.
FaZe Jarvis must, however, still be banned – just not forever.
Normally, Ninja does not have a big heart for cheaters:
