Today the new update 4.2 for Fortnite is coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC, and iOS. What time will the update go live and what does the patch include?
After the announcement appeared in Fortnite yesterday, Epic has now confirmed via Twitter that the jetpack will appear in Fortnite: Battle Royale today, May 22, through an update. Epic refers to this content update as 4.2 – there will be no server downtime.
Initially, the jetpack was supposed to be released in February. However, last-minute issues forced Epic to rethink – instead, the hunting rifle was introduced into the game.

Where are the patch notes? The patch notes for today’s update are taking some time. Epic plans to release them later. We will update them as soon as the patch notes for Fortnite are available.

Fortnite update comes at 2:00 PM: Now it should finally be happening. Unlike the previous weeks, there will be no server downtime this week, and from 2 PM German time, the jetpack should be in the game.
Will the jetpack be linked to a separate mode? No, the jetpack is a limited item, so it will only be available for a limited time. However, you can find the jetpack in all modes. How long the jetpack will be in the game is not yet known.
It is also not yet clear how much the jetpack will disrupt the balance. On paper, the item appears very strong, as it can potentially easily overcome high structures.
Additionally, spectacular jump-and-build sequences can be combined with comparable items like the impulse grenade or bounce pads. Will this also be possible with the jetpack? Whether there is a catch or if the jetpack can be countered in any way, we will soon find out.

What can Save the World players look forward to? There is also a content update for the PvE faction. A new Outlander, Archaeologist Jess, is coming. Additionally, you can now purchase more Flux to upgrade your heroes in the weekly stores. Nice!
