In Fortnite there is a new emote that gives you an unfair advantage in battle. We at MeinMMO will show you which emote it is and what you should pay attention to in the near future when you are in a match.
What kind of emote is it? This is the emote ‘Just Hanging Out’ from the Marvel series. It came with the new Battle Pass for Chapter 3. This emote, inspired by Spider-Man, allows you to casually hang from the ceiling.
Unfortunately, players have now tested this and noticed that the action can also be exploited to their advantage in combat. Keep an eye on the ceilings in the houses; you can never be too sure.
Players hang from the ceiling and lie in wait for you
The Fortnite TikToker “nickeh30” demonstrated in his video (via TikTok) how treacherous this new emote can be in battle.
In this situation, nickeh30 jumps on the edge of a door and then uses his gesture. This puts him out of the players’ line of sight. Opponents chasing you are confused as they believe you are hiding behind the door. In this moment, Nick takes advantage for a surprise attack and eliminates his opponent.
Nick calls the gesture pay-to-win and reminds us of the Deep Dab emote, which was also adjusted afterward. This emote allowed you to dodge bullets during a gunfight created by your enemy.
How can you counteract this? The most important thing is that you shouldn’t walk into houses alone. If you are alone, you should either avoid houses or burn them down with firefly grenades. If you are looking for excitement, be sure to glance at the ceiling during your exploration so that you don’t experience any nasty surprises.
Either way, the new battle pass was only recently released. Therefore, hardly any player can have played through honestly to the last page. This means you will rarely encounter lurking jackals who want to get you upside down in the first few weeks.
