Ninja is the first content creator to receive his own skin in Fortnite. His skin has a cool built-in feature that rewards good players. We show you what that feature is.
What kind of skin is this? Professional player Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is the first player to now have his own skin in Fortnite. This is currently available in the item shop, along with the entire set.
The set includes:
- a ninja outfit (1,500 V-Bucks)
- the back accessory “Ninja Blades”
- the emote “Ninja Style” (300 V-Bucks)
- and the pickaxe “Twin Katanas” (800 V-Bucks)
This is what the Ninja skin looks like:

Ninja skin has a cool feature for good players
What kind of feature is this? The Ninja skin is equipped with a headband. Ninja wears this in his Mixer streams when he has a successful match series. If he loses a match, he takes off the headband again.
The headband of the Ninja skin behaves similarly in Fortnite. The more eliminations are achieved in a round, the longer the band will be in the game.
Player War_Minister_DK noticed this while using the Ninja skin in a match. He posted a picture of the comparison on reddit:
The best players will be easy to recognize
How do you recognize the best “Ninjas”? As mentioned before, the headband gets longer with each elimination. Good players who achieve more than 10 eliminations will stand out even more.
From 10 eliminations in a round, the headband starts to glow. Especially at night, this should be even more noticeable.
So if you see a Ninja skin with a very long, glowing headband, you should better beware, because it’s probably a quite strong opponent.
You will only notice this feature if you choose the style without the hood. This is how you can see the band grow.
What do you think of the Ninja skin? Will you get the glowing headband?
