What is happening in Fortnite right now? All players are currently stuck on the loading screen due to the server down and are eagerly waiting to finally be able to play Fortnite. The season is not yet out, but nonetheless the patch notes have surfaced. These detail the new locations in Season 2. We will show you what is new.

Old map, but with a futuristic city
Has anything changed? Yes, a completely new area has developed in the southwest of the map.
Following new POIs can be seen:
- Kenjutsu Crossing
- Knotty Nets
- Mega City
- Steamy Springs
The POIs are new places that have not appeared in any season or chapter. If you are near Mega City, feel free to visit Loot Lake. There, you will notice a floating surprise.
Why aren’t there multiple changes? Looking at the entire map, it becomes clear that in Season 2, aside from Mega City, nothing has happened. Places like Frenzy Fields or the Citadel are still intact and can be explored.
The story in Season 1 provided no significant reason for huge changes or a destruction of the map. Only a rift formed above a portal, which again threw different parts from different realities onto the map of Chapter 4.
What do you think of the map? Do you like it, or do you believe Epic Games should have done more and overhauled everything? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
