In Fortnite you can soon dive back into the battle solo or with your friends. Epic has launched Season 2, and savvy dataminers have now discovered more info about the new map. We’ll show you more about it.
What is happening in Fortnite right now? All players are currently stuck on the loading screen due to the server downtime and are eagerly waiting to finally play Fortnite. Since the update file has already been released, savvy dataminers have begun exploring the new hidden contents.

New map with few changes
Has anything changed? The new map appears unchanged at first glance. Twitter user “HappyPower” posted the new map on Twitter.
In addition to black craters scattered wildly across the map, oval monuments have found their place in various locations. Whether these are IO bases or the zeppelins that were also shown in the Season 2 story trailer is still unknown. Upon closer inspection, however, no new POIs are visible.
Why are there hardly any changes? As IO and the Seven now face an inevitable conflict, ongoing changes could be conceivable. Given that the black craters suggest bombardments, weekly destruction of the POIs could be possible.
As Epic has shown in Chapter 2 Season 8, even slow changes can bring a lot of variety. There, a golden cube caused trouble and moved across the map daily to initiate the plan of the cube queen.
But don’t worry, as the familiar POIs like Tilted Towers or Daily Bugle are still intact and can be visited by players. So enjoy the integrity of the map while it lasts.
