In Fortnite: Battle Royale, the map is being plagued by meteor strikes. What’s happening? Are they the harbinger of Season 4?
The whole story surrounding the comet that appeared a few weeks ago seems to be reaching its climax in Fortnite. The next level of escalation has been reached: It is raining meteors from the sky.
The Comet in Fortnite: Is the impact imminent?
A few weeks ago, the comet was still floating inconspicuously in the sky. After isolated sightings of shooting stars, we now seem to be nearing the climax. Various players report that they witnessed meteor strikes in Fortnite.
Small objects that crash from the sky and destroy everything in their path, whether it be landscape structures or objects built by players. Among other things, the following video is currently making the rounds in the community:
So far, it is not clear whether the meteors can injure players. As soon as it hits the first poor soul, we will know more. However, once struck, the meteors do not leave aliens, superheroes, or scattered professors in a DeLorean, as the rumors predicted.
Will Tilted Towers fall? Meteors don’t suggest that!
While a large part of the players is still convinced that the comet will destroy the city of Tilted Towers, at least the meteor strikes do not suggest that. For they hit Tilted Towers – but also any other random place on the map.
Something will happen in the coming days – that is certain. Epic has released an image of a fictional emergency transmission on television sets distributed around the world – background unknown.
A new theory, by the way, no longer assumes an impact in Tilted Towers – but rather indicates Dusty Depot as the target. A place that would make much more sense, as this part of the map is considered open and lacking in interesting spots.
Whatever is going to happen – the closer the comet impact gets, the more curious and adventurous the theories become. Epic heats up the rumor mill – without providing clarification themselves. Clever!
Also, the image with which Epic has presumably teased Season 4 raises more questions than it answers. It is considered certain that Season 4 will have superheroes as its theme.
