In Fortnite: Battle Royale, the new skin Prisoner has several stages. However, Stage 3 appears to still be locked. Nevertheless, there are hints on how you can unlock the new stage later.
What is the story behind the Prisoner? The Prisoner is the secret skin from Season 7. He could only be unlocked in Week 9, as you needed to complete a total of 60 tasks from the weekly challenges to do so.
But the skin itself is not the end. The outfit has several stages, and to unlock them, you need to use specific actions and items in the game. For Stage 2, you had to find a key in Polar Peaks.
But what comes next?
Data leak provides a hint about Stage 3 of the Prisoner
What’s the next step for the skin? Currently, it seems that no player has figured out how to unlock Stage 3. This appears to be intentional, as data miners have found hints in the Prisoner’s files about an item that will soon play a new role: the campfire.
What’s the significance of the campfire? It seems that you will need the new version of the campfire to unlock the 3rd stage of the skin. According to Epic, with the upcoming update 7.4 the campfire will change. You should be able to light wood piles and then turn them into interactive campfires.
According to data miners, this is likely to be the method to unlock the third stage. Another clue comes from the “secret” title image for Week 10, which has also already been leaked.
It shows the Prisoner sitting by a campfire, with parts of his shackles removed.
The later stages of the outfit show the Prisoner with fewer and fewer chains. Therefore, it is highly likely that the campfire and Stage 3 are closely connected. We will know more when update 7.4 goes live, which is expected to be between February 5 and 7.
It remains exciting how to obtain the final 4th stage. It will probably have more to do with the theme of “fire,” as Stage 4 is partially engulfed in flames.
