In Fortnite, Season 6 has begun with an unusual solo event. The finale of Season 5 took us through a wild mission with Agent Jones. Here you can see how the Zero Point Crisis ended.
This is what happened: Today, on March 16, Season 6 has begun in Fortnite. After a lengthy server downtime during which the Fortnite update was deployed, players can now start the new season.
The start of Season 6, or rather the end of Season 5, runs a bit differently than usual. Because once again there was a large event in Fortnite that initiated the season change – with the difference that this time everyone plays solo.
So there was no big live environment. Instead, all players experience the event solo as soon as they enter Season 6 for the first time.
The premiere of the event was on March 16, 2021, at 9:00 AM. Here we tell you what happened in the event.

How the season start event went
In advance, the “most elaborate story cinematic” in Fortnite for the solo event was announced. What it looked like was also shown in the video premiere, which we embed here:
Several teasers in the past few days had shown that the Zero Point in Fortnite was becoming increasingly unstable – and Agent Jones was not happy about it at all. At the start of Season 6, the “Zero Point Crisis” then reached its preliminary peak.
A huge chaos erupted, in which several skins like the Predator, the Alien, Ripley, and more engaged in battle. Agent Jones fought his way through the chaos towards the Zero Point – until “The Foundation” appeared. This character picked up Jones to close the emerging portals and stabilize the Zero Point. At this point, the solo mission with Agent Jones started.
This is what happens in the solo mission: Again a reminder: There are spoilers. This mission can be experienced by anyone starting in Season 6 for the first time.
The mission starts with you and Agent Jones. The agent wants to close the portals – but a reality wave transforms him into a well-known little light butterfly. As a result, it is now up to you to take care of the portals.
Reality waves repeatedly break through, transforming you into other characters. Among other things, you will become a fighting chicken. At the same time, you encounter some obstacles, such as a fight between two towers and a helicopter trying to make your life difficult.
But with the help of the reality waves, you reach your goal and close the portals. Now the Zero Point blooms in a kind of bloom – and you head to the center of the action. There is “the Foundation”, trying to stabilize the point. The mission ends in a flash of light – and a change of the map.
The island has changed significantly – among other things, the huge desert in the center has disappeared. In its place, there is now a tower on which the Zero Point sits. The new Season 6 is themed “Prehistoric” – accordingly, many things on the map will have adapted.
After the mission ends, players can now freshly start in Season 6. How it will unfold in terms of gameplay remains to be seen. YouTuber SypherPK, however, had some thoughts on what Fortnite should do differently in Season 6.
