Fortnite will host the big live event “Collision” next week to close Season 2, Chapter 3. We’ll show you all the important information, the date, and how to participate here.
When does the Fortnite live event take place? The live event “Collision” will take place on June 4, 2022. It starts at 10:00 PM. How long it will last is still unknown – in the past, it has usually been around a quarter to half an hour.
How can I participate? Basically, anyone who plays Fortnite can join the event. You just need to be there on time: to be safe, you should log into the game at least 30 minutes before the event starts – the playlist for the event should be unlocked then.
In the past, there have been issues due to full servers when joining later. Therefore, punctuality pays off.
Important: The event only takes place once and only at this time.
How many players do I need? The announcement mentions “teams of four players”. However, it is expected that there will also be the opportunity to team up with random players during the event. At least that was the case in previous events.
But what can we expect in the event?
Collision ends Season 2, Chapter 3 in Fortnite
What kind of event is this? The title Collision is likely related to the clashing organizations the “Seven” and the “IO”. Their conflict has been ongoing throughout the season and is expected to reach a new level in the event.
Because: Previous events in Fortnite have been “big” and often brought significant changes – such as a complete flooding of the map or flipping the island.
The official description states that the “fate of the Zero Point” will be decided. Accordingly, there should be quite some action in “Collision”.
That was a huge event back then:
What is already known? There isn’t too much information about the content yet. Leaks have suggested that it could possibly go to outer space.
In addition, two objects are known that will likely play a significant role:
- Currently, there is a huge tower on the map, the “Collider”, which regularly shoots laser beams into the sky. This appears to be the ultimate weapon of the IO.
- The Seven, on the other hand, rely on a newly assembled huge bear-shaped mech. Fans will already know it from an earlier event, when it fought against a huge monster.

You should also receive a reward if you log into the game on June 4 starting at 2:00 PM: a loading screen and lobby music.
Furthermore, after the event, the current battle pass will also end. This is important if you still have resources to spend.
What should I do before the season ends? Make sure to spend any remaining battle stars from the battle pass on the rewards you want. Otherwise, they will be “automatically” redeemed for the rewards in the pass at the end of the season – in chronological order. Then it can happen that stars are spent on rewards from the first pages, although you actually saved for the later pages.
Additionally, you should spend your chips for the Omni sword. Otherwise, they will just expire.
Last but not least: Level up as much as you can – in case you want to grab some of the rewards from the battle pass.
