In Fortnite, a new vehicle might soon arrive: Cars with turrets have been found in the game files and could soon cause a stir.
Data miners share: VastBlast, a data miner who regularly shares leaks about Fortnite, showed an excerpt from the game files. It reads “AFortDagwoodVehicle:ApplyVehicleModMountedGun”.
This translates to a vehicle that carries a turret. Such cars are known from various shooters, but there hasn’t been anything like that in Fortnite yet. That might change soon.
Vehicle with Turret – Could Get Stressful
What do we know about the vehicle? Unfortunately, not much yet. Only the discovery of the text file gives a hint about the vehicle.
So far, we don’t know what this vehicle might look like. It is likely to take some time before players can drive the equipped vehicle.
Would such a vehicle fit into Fortnite? Something similar has already appeared in Fortnite: the X-4 Stormwing plane. This plane is back in the current Christmas event of Fortnite, and you can shoot down from it with unlimited ammunition and quickly flee. The plane faced heavy criticism at its debut in 2018. It was just too hard to counter, and you were never really safe.
Now there are various kinds of cars in Fortnite, and a vehicle with a turret could fit in as well. The only question is whether the community will react positively or whether such a vehicle will quickly be labeled as overpowered.
It remains to be seen what Epic Games will come up with and whether such a vehicle will actually debut in the Battle Royale. Stressful rounds would certainly be inevitable.
