What is happening in Fortnite? The map of Fortnite has fallen prey to an invasion of the Killer Cubes. After the live event of Chapter 2 Season 7, the mothership of the aliens crashed, causing a corruption of the map. This orange slime is spreading throughout the Fortnite world.
Furthermore, the Queen of the Cubes is creating a pyramid in the middle of the map to use it as a weapon against the island’s inhabitants. As she is considered a reality destroyer, she will do everything possible to seal the fate of Fortnite.
Meanwhile, the island’s inhabitants do not give up easily and are establishing a base to confront the threat once and for all.
Building a Base and Bombs
A new base: Players who actively play Fortnite have surely noticed the construction site near Pleasant Park. Debris from the mothership has already been cleared in advance to establish a base and devise a plan against the Cube Queen.
What changes are taking place? The entire map is being corrupted by the Cube’s aura. At the beginning of Chapter 2, Season 8, these extraterrestrial cubes roamed across the island to reach the crater of the Zero Point. In the process, they left a path of destruction and the orange slime from the Tilted Towers.
Since the Queen was called by the golden leader cube, this substance has been spreading across the entire map. Meanwhile, the base was constructed, which was also shown in the trailer for the live event.
This base is being built at a rapid pace and contains many bombs scattered around the construction site. On Twitter, leakers and players speculate whether these bombs will be directed against the Cube army and its Queen during the live event. Many believe that we will use these rockets to drive the Queen away.
What comes after the event? No one knows for sure. Leakers believe there will be another black hole. During this time, Fortnite will not be playable for a few days. It is also assumed that by chance, a new reality will be created, which will kick off with a new map and new content in Chapter 3. All of this is expected to take place on December 7th.
