The update 10.40 could soon bring back an old location in Fortnite. A Rift Beacon has appeared near Pleasant Park. Is this OG location returning now? We will find out.
What are Rift Beacons? Rift Beacons are machines that appear before a new/old location is added to the map. They are located at the places that are to be altered. In the update 10.30, Moisty Palms and Greasy Grove were added to the map.
Where is the Rift Beacon now? The Rift Beacon is located north of Pleasant Park, near a racetrack. These machines are built in Dusty Depot and then transported to the locations that are to be altered.

Is this OG location returning? Where the machine is now standing, there was a location in the early seasons that consisted of castle ruins. This location has not existed since Season 4, and therefore it is considered one of the “Originals.” It is possible that Fortnite is bringing this location back before Season 10 ends, and we might get a new map for Season 11.
However, it could also be that Fortnite brings back the football stadium that was added later in Season 4. Back then, a stadium was built for the World Cup, and players even had to complete football-related challenges. This stadium was also located where the Rift Beacon has now appeared.
Here are the “castle ruins”:

When could it happen? Usually, when these machines have appeared, it hasn’t taken long before the new/old locations come. Fortnite will probably make the change in the next update. When the next update will come is not yet known.
Would you be excited about one of these locations? Which location would be your favorite?
