In Fortnite, a movie night will soon take place, featuring several mini-movies. We will provide you with all the information about it and how you can also participate in the festival.
What kind of festival is this? “Short Nite” is a film festival where players from around the world gather in Fortnite: Party Royale to watch a few special short films together – including some that have won an Oscar.
If you want to virtually gather with your friends and enjoy a movie night, Short Nite gives you the chance to do so. This is not the first time, that Fortnite shows a movie in Party Royale.
When does the movie night take place? Short Nite will start on February 20 at 8:00 PM and will run until February 21 at 8:00 PM. The first showing of all the short films will last about 30 minutes (until 8:30 PM) and will then be repeated for 24 hours.
You can decide for yourself when you want to watch the short films and do not need an “entry” that would limit the number of participants.
How to participate in Short Nite
Where is the movie night taking place? The film festival will take place in the special mode “Party Royale” at the big screen. In this map, there is no fighting, which makes it particularly suitable for such events.
To participate, simply start Fortnite normally and then choose the Party Royale mode among the game modes. If you want to experience the movie night with friends, you should invite them to your lobby beforehand, so you can start the round together.

Fortnite will also bring a new emote that is meant to get you into the feeling of a movie night. Starting February 20 at 1:00 AM, “Giant Popcorn” will be available in the item shop. In this “dance”, your character sits down on a chair and eagerly eats from a giant popcorn cup.
