In Fortnite: Battle Royale there is now a new cool emote from TikTok available for free to every player. However, anyone who wants to get the emote should hurry before it is no longer available.
What kind of emote is this? The new emote “Elan” is a dance that originates from TikTok. There was the EmoteRoyaleContest where players could showcase their dance ideas in a video. So, if you understand TikTok, you might even become famous in Fortnite.
The winner of this competition is Michael (TikTok: michaelmejeh). His dance is now available as an emote in Fortnite. This is what the dance looks like in the game:
How do you get the emote? Unlike emotes that you have to buy in the item shop or complete special challenges for, this dance is available easily and for free.
To obtain the emote, you just need to log into Fortnite by Thursday, July 30 at 2:00 AM and a notification will appear that you have received the emote as a gift. You also do not need to participate in an event for this.
So make sure to check it out if you want to have the emote before it might no longer be available in Fortnite.
It’s different for the “Bangha Boogie” emote, which is only given to certain mobile users.
The emote was actually linked to an event
What was the original plan for the emote? Originally, players were not supposed to receive this emote just by logging in. Epic had planned to give the dance only to the players who participate in the “We the People” event.
What kind of event is this? The “We the People x More Than A Vote” is a talk series where various personalities from sports and entertainment discuss the topic of “voter suppression” and encourage others to take action.
The entire event will be broadcasted in Party Royale mode on the big screen. The talk starts on July 29 at 1:00 AM and will be shown again every 2 hours over a span of 22 hours.
Important: During the “event”, Epic wants everyone to behave respectfully and will therefore disable all emotes during this time.
So you do not need to be at the event to get the emote, if you don’t want to. In Party Royale, however, you still have a unique map where there are no fights, and the fun of socializing takes precedence. A visit is worth it for everyone who wants a break from all the fighting on the Battle Royale map.
