Fortnite is currently giving away a new skin pack that was initially meant for PC players. However, users on other platforms also have a chance to get it if they can briefly access a PC. We show you what is included in the pack and how to unlock it.
What kind of pack is this? There is now a free skin bundle for PC players. Unlike other bundles, such as the Intel skin pack, there are no special offers associated with it. Players will receive the following for free:
- The Ruby Shadow Outfit
- The Shadow Slicer Pickaxe
- The Sky Shadow Back Bling
Once players have logged in and claimed the pack, they will receive challenges that will allow them to unlock the items from the pack.
How to get the bundle?
Which players can get the bundle for free? All players who log in via the Epic Games Launcher on PC and start Fortnite can claim the pack for free. The bundle should then appear in the Item Shop and be available for free.
Once the pack has been claimed, you will receive challenges. By completing the tasks, you will unlock the items from the pack – you will not receive all cosmetics immediately upon claiming.
Until when is the Shadow Pack available? You can claim the pack until Friday, June 18, 2021, at 2:00 AM. After that, the offer will disappear from the shop. If Season 6 actually ends on June 8, then the offer will carry over into the next season.
Important: You only need to claim the pack by June 18. You can still complete the challenges afterwards without any time pressure and unlock the items.
Is the skin pack really only for PC players?
How exclusive is the pack really? Epic Games themselves state that you must claim the pack on PC via the launcher, but the challenges and items will also be available on other platforms afterwards.
So if you have a laptop or PC where you can download the Epic Games Launcher (via Epic Games Launcher) and have Fortnite installed there, then you can claim the pack and complete the challenges later on your usual platform.
So the pack is not that exclusive after all, and other platforms get a chance to grab the shadow items as well.
If you can’t or don’t want to get the pack, there is still a chance to grab a free item. In the new Survival mode, you can now win a special glider – this is also available for all players and can be unlocked for free.
