In Fortnite: Battle Royale the original default skins are back in the game, but those who want to use them now must pay V-Bucks. We will show you which skins they are and how much they cost.
What are these skins? On November 5th at 2:00 AM, the item shop was updated, and the oldest skins that you can now buy were released. We are talking about the original default skins that were available at the launch of Fortnite: Battle Royale.
Back then, these were the only outfits that could be used through a random process. In total, there are 8 default skins, 4 of which are male and the other 4 are female characters.
In Brazil, some players were even discriminated against because they could not afford skins and therefore had to walk around with the “noobie skins”.
OG skins are back, but only for money
What is different now? As already mentioned, these 8 skins were the first ones that could be used in Fortnite. They were also free, unlike the other skins that were gradually added to the game.
At the start of Chapter 2 in Fortnite, new default skins were introduced. So it has been a while since players could run around with the originals.
Since the defaults are usually available for free, players could not choose which one they wanted to use. A random generator decided that. Now you can select exactly which default you want, but you have to pay first.
How much do the default skins cost? There are 2 options for how you can get the original skins:
- You buy just your favorite for 800 V-Bucks
- You buy a package that includes all 4 male default skins or the package simply with the 4 female characters. This will cost you a total of 2,000 V-Bucks
If you want to travel back in time to wear the original default skins again, you can get them in the item shop for V-Bucks. There is also the matching OG glider and the very first pickaxe is even available for free for all players.
