Fortnite will receive a new game mode called “Ballistic” on December 11, 2024. The new mode is reminiscent of other major shooters like Counter-Strike.
What kind of game mode is this? Ballistic is a 5v5 mode without building, played from a first-person perspective. One of the two teams must plant a bomb while the other team has to defend the point. The match ends when the bomb successfully explodes or one of the two teams is completely eliminated.
A total of 12 rounds will be played, and the team that wins 7 rounds wins the entire match. You will earn points for each kill, which you can spend before the next round on new weapons or special gadgets that you can use in battle.
When will Ballistic be released? The new mode Ballistic will be available in early access on December 11, 2024.
What content will be available? At launch, a map called “Skyline 10” will be available to you. According to the developers, more maps should follow shortly.
You can also use all skins and content from your wardrobe that you have unlocked so far in the game mode.

Fortnite is becoming more and more of a gaming hub
Epic has long been on this path, expanding Fortnite more broadly. After being “just” a shooter for years, a LEGO mode, a racing game, and a music mode have been added in recent months. With the tactical shooter, the next mode is now being introduced.
