The start of Season 3 in Fortnite introduced some new bosses that reward you with mythic weapons and items. These are either quite powerful or can give you advantages in a match.
What are mythic weapons? In Fortnite, there are different rarities for weapons, with the mythic version being the strongest of all. They are available only once per match and are not easy to obtain.
These are the new mythic weapons and items:
- A Shockwave Launcher
- A Charged Shotgun
- A Reusable Chug Jug
- A Burst Assault Rifle
- A Drum Gun
- A Glider Grappler
The Drum Gun from Season 2 will still remain with us. Already in the last season, the Tommy Gun was among the strongest mythic weapons.
New NPC bosses drop the weapons
How can you get the new mythic weapons? Just like in Season 2 Chapter 2, these powerful weapons can only be found with the mini-bosses scattered around the map. However, in Season 3, there are new bosses, new locations, and new weapons to explore.
To get the coveted weapons, you need to eliminate the NPC bosses first, and that can be no simple task. They often have a lot of health points and are additionally protected by their henchmen.
However, once you have done this, you can grab the mythic weapon and use it against your opponents in battle.
How to find the mythic weapons in Fortnite: Battle Royale
The 6 new weapons and items can be obtained from the following bosses:
- Kit at Catty Corner drops 2 weapons: The Shockwave Launcher and the Charged Shotgun
- At The Fortilla, Ocean drops the Reusable Chug Jug and the Burst Assault Rifle
- Jules at The Authority gives you: The Drum Gun and the Glider Grappler
You can now take 2 weapons or items from a mini-boss.
If you want to grab the mythic weapons, you should head to these locations right at the start and take out the bosses. After all, you will be the only ones carrying such a powerful weapon. You can find all the bosses at places that underwent significant changes in Season 3 due to the tsunami.
