YouTubers LazarBeam and Glitch King have found a Fortnite glitch that lets players win every time. This exploit is so severe that Epic will likely have to introduce a fix soon.
This is the situation: Helicopters have now been introduced in Fortnite with the Update 12.20 as a means of transportation: the Choppa.
The helicopters turned out not to be as dangerous as the planes from Season 7. However, an exploit has now been found that allegedly allows players to win every time. But you need the helicopter for that.
YouTubers find glitch that guarantees victory
What kind of glitch is this? Through this exploit, you are allegedly able to win every Fortnite round. In his YouTube video, LazarBeam presents the glitch and explains how it works.
How does the glitch work? We don’t want to explain any obvious exploits here, as this could lead to bans and ruin the experience for everyone in Fortnite. Basically, it’s about:
- flying a helicopter as high as possible with a grappler
- waiting until all opponents have died in the storm
Although executing this is quite unfair to other players, as victory is guaranteed, the glitch involves some effort.
Especially the grappler is not easy to obtain, as there is only one on the entire Fortnite map and it belongs to mythical weapons. To get the grappler, you first have to defeat the mini-boss Skye.
Glitch needs a fix
That’s why this exploit is a serious problem: In Fortnite Battle Royale, everything revolves around the epic victory. The goal is to be the last team standing on the battlefield.
But if players now use this glitch, the other opposing teams have no chance of winning. That’s pretty unfair considering that a victory is not easy to achieve.
Is a fix for the bug coming now? It is possible that Epic will respond to this glitch and introduce a fix with the next update or even implement a hotfix and disable the grappler.
Since YouTuber LazarBeam has over 13 million followers, his video about the exploit will likely be discovered quickly and players will probably use it.
This could lead to Epic reacting quickly and needing to nerf either the helicopter or the grappler.
A bug recently caused exactly the opposite, when it ruined a player’s round right at the beginning:
- A bug leaves a player behind on the starting island, as the battle bus leaves without them
