Many players enjoy the disabled building in Fortnite. No more tedious hiding, but hardcore battles with strategy are now the order of the day for the BR shooter. Data miners have now discovered that the temporary mode could become permanent. We show you why.
What has happened in Fortnite? Since the release of Season 2 in Chapter 3, the most noticeable feature has been disabled – building. Players who have refined their building skills over the years can no longer build.
However, many fans feared that the No-Build mode would only be temporary. But data miners are now giving hope, as hints have been found suggesting that you will permanently receive a mode without building.
No-Build Mode Soon Permanent
The known leaker “Hypex” has posted hints on Twitter indicating that you will soon have the choice between two modes.
Hypex lists two things that were dug up from the data of Fortnite:
- Multiple No-Build modes have been discovered that can be selected and played anytime after building is activated.
- Epic has revised most of the loading screen tips, which now offer the following sentence “In modes where building is activated…”
How is the news received by the community? Under Hypex’s tweet, mixed feelings arise. Some players are happy about it, like user I_am_Highstakes:
- “I love the idea … people are just complaining because they can’t get easy wins against players who cannot build at all … it would be cool if the island was also a bit different when you can’t build … more cover in open areas for example.”
But not everyone is pleased. Twitter user ZBalance commented:
- “Terrible decision. This will only greatly divide the player base and cause matchmaking queues to take longer. They should either stick with no building or keep building, which is the core mechanic of the game.”
This is a leak. Until Epic officially makes this decision, a lot could still change. However, looking at the current opinions in the community, it is clear that players are divided.
There are fears that the character of the colorful BR shooter will be lost, and that it can no longer stand out from other shooters. It remains to be seen what Epic Games decides and how the community will react to it. Nonetheless, the building mode will be reactivated during Season 2.
