In Fortnite Chapter 2, you now also fight against bots. But how can you recognize them? We show you how to identify the bots.
What are these bots? By bots, we mean computer-controlled players who are placed in a match with regular players. This way, they fill the matches in Fortnite.
Sometimes, however, they are hard to recognize. Especially when you are in a hectic fight and have no time to pay attention to details.
How to recognize a bot?
What do the bots look like? Unfortunately, you cannot recognize the bots by their appearance. They also wear various skins like all other players.
Do the bots have a special gamertag? You cannot recognize the bots by their names either. Their gamertags sound logical and could also come from regular players.
This is how you can definitely recognize a bot
How do the bots behave? You can recognize them by their behavior. They often act in ways that normal players would not behave. A bot behaves like this:
- They open chests and often leave items behind that one would not normally leave
- They destroy individual walls of buildings instead of just opening the door
- They tend not to build in combat and try to destroy built parts
- They often miss their shots
- They switch weapons instead of attacking their opponent
- They quickly get good loot
How can you accurately identify the bots? However, there are 3 methods to accurately recognize the bots. To know for sure if you have encountered a bot, you need to pay attention to:
- You cannot mimic the bots’ emotes on the spawn island
- In replay mode, they do not have a name (gamertag)
- On the screen displayed when you are eliminated, you see the opponent’s gamertag and the name is displayed as invalid
The dataminer Lucas7yoshi posted an image where the gamertag was displayed as invalid:
