In Fortnite: Battle Royale there will soon be a new Valentine’s Day skin. You can secure the Heart skin in a tournament before it appears in the Item Shop. We will show you how you can get the ‘Heart’ for free.
What is a skin? Valentine’s Day is celebrated in Fortnite with the ‘Wild Hearts’ event. During this time, new skins will appear that spread a lot of love. The Heart outfit is also included and is coming to the shop for the first time.
If you want to secure the skin earlier than everyone else and for free, you can prove yourself in a tournament. That way you can flaunt your new outfit.
How to get the Heart skin for free
To earn the skin for free, you must participate in the ‘Wild Hearts’ Cup. We will show you how to join and what conditions must be met.
When does the Cup take place? The duo tournament named ‘Wild Hearts’ will take place on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
You have 3 hours to play a total of 10 matches and collect as many points as possible. In duos, you will compete against your opponents in ‘normal’ rounds.
How to participate in the Wild Hearts Cup
What do you need to do? Since this is a duo tournament, you will first need a partner to participate with you. However, everyone who wants to join the Cup must meet these conditions:
- The Fortnite account must be at least level 30
- You must have set up two-factor authentication
Important: These conditions apply to both duo partners participating in the tournament and must be fulfilled by both.
What are the rewards?
What can you win for free? Those who prove themselves in the Cup will again receive a skin for free. As mentioned above, the Heart set can be won in this Cup. It includes:
- The ‘Heart’ outfit
- The back accessory ‘Dynamic Heart’
Only the players who rank among the top 1,750 will receive the skin set for free and before everyone else.
Can you also get the skin outside of the tournament? If you do not rank among the top 1,750 players, you still have a chance at the Heart. The skin will then appear later in the Item Shop and will be available to all players. But then you will have to pay for it.
