The Battle Pass of Season 5 in Fortnite is full of cool bounty hunter skins. But it’s not just these skins, as you can unlock various style variants for some of them. We’ll show you how to get them.
What are these skins? In the Battle Pass of Season 5 there are a total of 7 bounty hunters that you can unlock, plus the Predator as a “secret skin”. However, if you want to customize your skins further, you can equip them with a special effect. The variants include: Sapphire, Topaz, and Zero-Point.
It works similarly to the foil skins, which could be unlocked in Season 4 – Chapter 2 for the Marvel superheroes.
Unlocking style variants for skins – Here’s how
What do you need to do? These style variants are rare variants that only players can unlock who reach a high level in the current season.
If you want to get the cool skins, you need to gather some experience points, play a lot, and level up. However, you first need to reach Level 100 before the race begins. In our level guide, you will find some tips on how you can level up faster:
Style Variant – Sapphire
The first style variant gives your skin a glowing, blue look that affects the entire body. These skins look almost a bit like the ice skins that are occasionally seen in the game. They are unlocked at these levels:
- Sapphire variant for Reese: Level 110
- Sapphire variant for Mancake: Level 120
- Sapphire variant for Mave: Level 130
- Sapphire variant for Kondor: Level 140
- Sapphire variant for Menace: Level 150

Style Variant – Topaz
The next skins that can be unlocked are reminiscent of the golden variants that have been seen in almost every season by now. However, here the color seems to shine and stand out more. They are unlocked at these levels:
- Topaz variant for Reese: Level 160
- Topaz variant for Mancake: Level 170
- Topaz variant for Mave: Level 180
- Topaz variant for Kondor: Level 190
- Topaz variant for Menace: Level 200

Style Variant – Zero-Point
For players reaching a very high level, there are a few style variants with the look of the Zero Point. This is now again found on the map of Season 5 and seems to affect the Battle Pass skins. They are unlocked at these levels:
- Zero-Point variant for Reese: Level 205
- Zero-Point variant for Mancake: Level 210
- Zero-Point variant for Mave: Level 215
- Zero-Point variant for Kondor: Level 220
- Zero-Point variant for Menace: Level 225

In total, you can unlock 3 style variants for each of the 5 skins from the Battle Pass. While they are not entirely new skins, the new look makes them look different. If you encounter such an outfit in the game, you know there is a player with a high level behind it.
