The Battle Pass of Season 4 in Fortnite is packed with cool superhero skins from the Marvel Universe. However, it doesn’t stop at these skins, as you can unlock various foil-style variants for them. We will show you how to get them.
What skins are these? In the Battle Pass of Season 4, there are a total of 7 superheroes that you can unlock, plus Wolverine as the “secret skin”. However, if you want to customize your skins more, you can equip them with a “foil effect”. The variants include: silver, gold, or holo.
Gold variants for Battle Pass skins are not new in Fortnite; they were already unlockable in Season 2 – Chapter 2. Among them was Fortnite’s mascot, Schali, the banana.
Unlocking Style Variants – Here’s How
Here’s what you need to do: Just like in Season 2 – Chapter 2, you will need to play a lot in this season as well, complete challenges, and earn a lot of XP to unlock the special style variants. You unlock them at certain levels.

Style Variant – Silver
One of the style variants gives you a silver look, which either affects the entire skin or only its respective equipment/clothing. They are unlocked at the following levels:
- Silver variant for Thor: Level 105
- Silver variant for She-Hulk: Level 110
- Silver variant for Groot: Level 115
- Silver variant for Storm: Level 120
- Silver variant for Doctor Doom: Level 125
- Silver variant for Mystique: Level 130
- Silver variant for Iron Man: Level 135
- Silver variant for Wolverine: Level 140

Style Variant – Gold
The next style level that you can unlock is the gold variant. However, it also requires a higher level and is unlocked much later, if you can reach it at all. At these levels, you will get them:
- Gold variant for Thor: Level 145
- Gold variant for She-Hulk: Level 150
- Gold variant for Groot: Level 155
- Gold variant for Storm: Level 160
- Gold variant for Doctor Doom: Level 165
- Gold variant for Mystique: Level 170
- Gold variant for Iron Man: Level 175
- Gold variant for Wolverine: Level 180
