Today starts the Winter Event in Fortnite with numerous gifts and new features. We from MeinMMO will show you how the Winter Festival 2021 works and what you need to pay attention to in order to collect all 14 gifts.
What is the Winter Festival? In the Winter Festival 2021, Epic Games is generous and rewards the community with a huge amount of free items, skins, and much more. The map will be festively decorated and you can expect a lot of XP.
14 Gifts and a Christmas Cabin
Epic Games has expanded the Winter Event again and has unearthed the winter cabin once more. With this, Sgt. Winter is available to you, who is casually enjoying his drink in his cabin.
He is surrounded by 14 gifts dedicated to you. These are festively wrapped and just waiting to be opened by you.
What items are in the gifts? Since they are all wrapped, you can’t be sure what is hidden inside the gifts, but the packaging on some boxes suggests that at least one of them comes from the Matrix series. There are definitely 14 gifts, but you can only open one per day.
You need to go to the cabin and select one of the gifts located on the left or right side of the house.
Once you have decided on one, you can take a closer look at the gift and shake it to hear what is inside. If you are completely sure of your choice, you can open the gift and claim it as yours.
What else can you do in the cabin? You can join Sgt. Winter and enjoy the campfire. To do this, you need to click on the bearded old man in the cabin and then select the fire next to him. This will grant you a free extreme XP boost daily.
Use this daily during the holidays to push your Battle Pass to the maximum level.
How long does the event last? The event runs from December 16, 2021, to January 6, 2022. You have 22 days to open all the gifts. So if you missed a day, don’t worry, Epic has thought of a big time limit so you won’t miss any of the gifts.
Are there challenges? Yes, there are, and you can earn two additional items. However, these are tied to challenges you need to complete in Fortnite.
