With Season 7, new alien artifacts were introduced in Fortnite. MeinMMO shows you what you need the items for and where to find them in Week 5 of the season.
What are alien artifacts used for? Aliens are the big new theme of Season 7 in Fortnite. For example, one of the new skins in the Battle Pass is the alien Kymera.
The skin can be extensively customized. This includes head, hair, eyes, skin, and armor. However, it costs you many alien artifacts. They are either scattered across the island or can be found in cosmic chests.
When do the artifacts come? The new artifacts of Week 5 are not yet in the game and will be released on July 8.
Locations of the alien artifacts in Week 5
How to find the artifacts: The locations change each week. You can automatically collect them at the respective spot by walking through an artifact. You can see how many you have already collected in the lobby.
Here are the locations on the map:
- Artifact 1 – Misty Meadows: The artifact is located directly under the top of the church tower. You will need to build your way up first.
- Artifact 2 – Retail Row: You can easily find the artifact on the playground, behind the bus stop shelter.
- Artifact 3 – Craggy Cliffs: The artifact is located directly on the top coastal strip. There is a campsite there, behind which lies the location towards the sea.
- Artifact 4 – Pleasant Park: The location is directly in the center of the park. There is a pavilion under which you will find the artifact.
- Artifact 5 – Believer Beach: At the edge of the village, south of the beach, you will find the artifact hidden under the roof of a house. You can recognize the house by an alien graffiti.
The artifacts are usually not hard to reach, but you may need to build your way to them or use your glider occasionally. In this video from EveryDay FN, you can also check the exact locations in gameplay:
If you collect the item at the location, you will receive four alien artifacts. Thus, you receive a total of 20 pieces for all five locations. Again, the artifacts will only come to Fortnite on July 8.
