In Fortnite: Battle Royale there are more challenges at the end of Season 8. One of them requires you to find coins on islands in Creative mode. We explain how to do that here.
What do you need to do? In one of the extension challenges of Season 8, you need to collect 20 coins in Creative mode. These coins can be placed by players on their creations as rewards for small challenges.
Wasn’t this already a thing? In the extension round of Season 7, there was already this task with the coins in Creative mode. Back then, you were supposed to search for only 15 coins in various creations of other players.
How do I get to the islands in Creative mode? To get the coins, you just need to visit the creations of other players in the Creative mode and collect the coins there. Proceed as follows:
- Open Creative mode in the start menu
- Start a round, but do not go to your own island
- Choose a portal marked as “Featured”
- Explore the island there and search for coins
Where can you find many coins? Currently (May 3, 2019), you can particularly well collect coins on the island named Howling Heights. However, you will probably need to explore more islands before you have enough coins.
What do you get as a reward? If you collect all 20 coins, you will receive 1,000 XP for the Battle Pass as a reward and complete one of the 6 new extension challenges.
How long does the event last? You can only complete the tasks until May 9, 2019. After that, Season 8 should end and Season 9 will begin.
Why can’t I join a game? Currently (May 3 at 5 PM), there seems to be a particularly high demand on the servers of Creative mode. Therefore, it may take some time before you can log into the islands.
