Don’t be deceived by its size, the Grab-o-Tron can lift more than just doghouses and small stones.
You can even grab entire rock formations or a truck and throw them at your enemies as you wish.
Where can I find the Grab-o-Tron: You can find it with some luck in chests scattered around the map. These can be regular, rare or even chests in the UFOs. Keep your eyes peeled, the chests are relatively common.
How do I use the Grab-o-Tron and does it have negative aspects?
The best uses are: When using the Grab-o-Tron, you should stay behind your mates and provide support by throwing a truck in the face of your enemies or onto their buildings.
Or you grab a huge rock and use it as a shield and can advance this way.
Since the weapon can even wipe out entire teams at certain moments, as demonstrated in the video by Reddit user “GAMERtheGHOST”, using the weapon is simply fun to try it out yourself.
The video shows how you can optimally use the weapon to get several kills at once. However, since this was recreated in creative mode, it already suggests that you won’t achieve this so easily in a match and will therefore need a lot of luck.
The negative aspects: You should also keep in mind that not everything about the Grab-o-Tron is great. For one, it takes a long time to properly align the selected item to effectively throw it. During this time, you are simply defenseless against your opponents.
Furthermore, the weapon sometimes does not work as it should. You grab a rock formation and want to throw it, but because the rocks are so large, they cannot be thrown far enough and just tumble around without hitting the actual target with force.
Conclusion: Overall, you can achieve some cool Fortnite moments with the Grab-o-Tron and get a few kills with it, but: Whether it will prove itself remains to be seen.
Especially since you occupy a complete item slot with the Grab-o-Tron, which might be better filled with a good shotgun or a solid assault rifle. The Grab-o-Tron currently feels more like a funny gadget and not like an essential weapon needed for the final victory.
