In Fortnite, the start of Season 4 is approaching, but not for iOS players if Apple does not reverse the ban of Fortnite on their devices. Now Epic is hosting an anti-Apple tournament in the last shared days of the community.
What’s happening with Fortnite? After Apple and Google recently removed Fortnite from their app stores and Epic sued both for it, players can no longer update Fortnite on their iOS devices.
But Season 4 is about to start in Fortnite, and players need to download an update for that. Otherwise, as Epic says, they will be left behind in this season.
Fortnite hosts anti-Apple tournament
What kind of tournament is that? On Sunday, August 23, 2020, the #FreeFortnite Cup will take place. All players from all regions can participate (via Epic Games).
According to Epic, this tournament is a chance for all players to play together one last time in the last shared days of the community. Afterwards, iOS players would be left behind while the rest of the community starts the new Season 4 on August 27.
“More prizes than ever before”
What can be won? This tournament is all about the dispute with Apple and the #FreeFortnite initiative. There are also fitting prizes to win. Among other things, there is the apple skin that was already seen in the Fortnite ad “1984”.
The outfit “Chief Financial Fallfruit”, or as Epic also calls him: “Lazy Apple”, is available for every player who scores 10 points in the tournament.

But there are not only prizes that you can use in the game to win. One of the prizes is a cap that shows the inscription: Free Fortnite. Here too, Epic seems to want to showcase their cause prominently again.
All other prizes such as hardware are displayed on the official Epic Games site. It will also be indicated how many points one needs for them.
