To Fortnite: Battle Royale Patch 9.0 has been released, which marks the start of Season 9. It features plenty of new features!
This is included in the new update 9.0: The new update kicks off Season 9 and brings numerous innovations to the game. This includes new locations, a new movement system, and a new weapon.
The features of Patch 9.0 in PvP
New Weapon – Combat Shotgun: This new shotgun has the following stats:
- Availability: rare, epic, legendary
- Damage: 73 / 77 / 81
- Ammunition: Shotgun shells
- Magazine: 10
The shotgun fires quickly, has low spread, and reloads 2 shells at a time.

These weapons and items have been removed from the game: This time, many weapons have been affected. Especially the Pump shotgun was unexpected!

- Treasure Chests
- Pump Shotgun
- Gas Trap
- Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle
- Suppressed Assault Rifle
- Infrared Assault Rifle
- Balloon
New Feature – Wind Tunnels: These are wind tunnels that move you faster in the direction of the wind. This works with projectiles and vehicles too!
New Feature – Fans: These things blow you away or reduce your fall damage.

New Feature – Fortbytes: These are a kind of puzzle pieces that you can collect in Season 9. There are a total of 100, 18 of which are already available at the start of the game. One more is added every day. There are special rewards if you collect enough of them.
New Locations – Neo Tilted and Mega Mall: The recently destroyed locations Tilted Towers and Retail Row have been rebuilt and are now Neo Tilted and Mega Mall.

Gameplay changes and bug fixes: Here are some of the changes that have taken place:
- The Tactical Shotgun deals more damage
- The availability of the Drum Gun has decreased from 16.732% to 7.155%
- The availability of the Bow has decreased from 1.292% to 0.755%
- Grenades are back
- Turbobuilding after gliding works correctly again
- Shadow Bombs work correctly on Xbox
- Sound bugs have been fixed
- Players with separate connections remain in the game for another 60 seconds and can be killed. No chance for rage quitters!
- Switching weapons when picking up works again as intended
- Diverse bug fixes for mobile

The patch highlights of update 9.00 in PvE
New Missions – War Games: Here you can load special simulations and endure for seven minutes. The simulation is made more difficult by various factors, including a building ban or a tornado that sweeps away your structures.

In addition, there are new challenges that change daily.
New Feature: Neighborhood Watch: You can now help other players defend their Storm Shield.
Revised Area – Twine Peaks: This region now has a linear path and more missions with better loot.
New Hero – Black Knight Garridan: A new constructor who hits particularly hard. Available from May 10, 2019.

New Hero – Paleo Luna: A ninja with a dinosaur look. Very strong in melee combat.
New Weapon – Steam Spear: A steampunk spear for long-range attacks and high damage.
