In Fortnite: Battle Royale Update 14.00 has been released, which heralds the start of Season 4 Chapter 2. We show you the patch notes. It includes new features, plenty of superhero stuff, and new locations!
What’s new in the 14.00 update: This update initiated the new Season 4 and allowed the worlds of Fortnite and Marvel to collide. As seen in the trailer, characters and superheroes must unite to defeat the villain Galactus.
But what does this mean for gameplay and Fortnite players? We show you what has changed in the game.
Become real superheroes or villains
What’s new now? The new battle pass skins not only look like the superheroes, but they also come with their abilities. You can activate Groot’s “Thorn Shield.” Throughout the season, more abilities will be unlocked. In the battle pass trailer, you could see how the abilities work in the game.
New locations from the Marvel universe
What’s new: When you dive into the Fortnite world now, you will see that it is no longer just Fortnite, but also a mix with the Marvel universe.
Overall, there are 3 new locations. Some of them are on the island, another will serve as the starting island. Here you can see all the map changes at a glance:
The drones are back!
What’s different now: Those who participated in Season 9 will remember the little drones that could be found at hot spots. They flew through the air, and you could shoot them down to get more loot.
Now in Season 4 – Chapter 2, they are back. But this time they fit the Marvel theme of the season. If you shoot them down from the sky, you will receive powerful weapons and hero abilities. They can be found at the Quinjet landing sites marked on the map.
Bots can now help you
What’s new: The superhero Iron Man aka Tony Stark has brought some bots to the Fortnite world. They attack you, just like the marauders known from Season 3.
But now they have a new feature. If you take them down, you can hack them with the push of a button and turn them to your side. Once they get back up, they will fight for you:
Season 4 has brought not only map changes and cool features. What would a mix of the Fortnite world and the Marvel universe be without the superheroes and skins?
