With Chapter 2 Season 7, the new alien artifacts were introduced in Fortnite . We at MeinMMO will show you what you need the items for and where to find them in week 9 of the season.
What are alien artifacts used for? The alien artifacts are a new currency. They allow you to further develop your Kimera skin to add a full beard or even stalk eyes. The Kimera is an alien skin that can be unlocked in the Fortnite Battle Pass of Season 7 and customized as you like.
When do the artifacts appear? New artifacts are released every Thursday at reset. Since they always spawn in new locations, we will show you their exact positions. You can also find them in cosmic chests if you are lucky.
Locations of the alien artifacts in week 9
This is how you find the artifacts: The locations of the artifacts vary from week to week. If you missed your artifacts for the last week, it’s not a big deal. You can still visit the previous artifacts from past weeks to complete your Kimera.
These are the locations of the alien artifacts in week 9:
- Artifact 1 – Craggy Cliffs: The artifact is located northwest on an island, under the scaffolding of a fishing hut.
- Artifact 2 – Corny Complex: You will find the artifact south of Corny Complex in a rest area.
- Artifact 3 – Weeping Woods: The artifact can be found on the huge satellite dish east of Weeping Woods.
- Artifact 4 – Weeping Woods: The location is directly in a hut next to a former spire tower.
- Artifact 5 – Holly Hedges: West of Holly Hedges, the last artifact of this week can be found in a fishing hut on a huge rock.
The artifacts are relatively easy to reach, but sometimes they also require certain prerequisites, such as building up or gliding to certain locations. If you want the exact locations, here is a video from the YouTuber “EveryDay FN” linked for illustration.
Important Tip: Make sure to collect all artifacts, as these boost your progress and give four artifacts per collection. Don’t rely on the cosmic chests; they may occasionally drop artifacts, but they are not a good source for farming.
