In Fortnite (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One) there is currently a problem with the challenges for Week 3 of Season 4. The quest where you need to watch a replay cannot currently be completed.
What happened?: Fortnite received the new challenges for the third week of Season 4 on May 15th. The Patch 4.2 was also supposed to be released. However, there are apparently current bugs in the game that prevented the patch.
These bugs are also said to lead to unspecified “problems” in the game.
Replays are buggy, do not count towards the weekly challenge
You were supposed to just watch a replay of a past Fortnite match in a particularly easy challenge for Week 3. Really not a big deal.
But one of the problems hinted at by Epic in the game seems to block this quest. Because no matter how many times you watch the replays, nothing happens. The corresponding point in the weekly challenge remains uncompleted.
There is another way: For some players, the challenge seems to work strangely. Or it shows as completed without any effort. In any case, it is not reliably possible to complete the challenge.
When will the replay challenge return?
The bug with the replays will likely be fixed when Patch 4.2 finally goes live. This could still happen on May 15th, 2018, if Epic steps up. Hopefully, all bugs will then be resolved. We will inform you here when the patch is online and the bug is fixed.
How can I watch the replays then? When the replays count towards quest progression, you can simply find them on the PC or console version of Fortnite: Battle Royale under the “Career” tab in the main menu. Select a non-highlighted (outdated) replay and watch it.
What about Mobile? Those who only play Fortnite: Battle Royale on mobile devices cannot complete this quest either. Because the replay function has not yet been implemented on mobile.
So there is no help: In this case, you need to briefly download Fortnite on the console or PC, play a match there and watch it as a replay. Or you log in briefly on a buddy’s PC or console with your data and do it there.
Update: In the meantime, the developers at Epic have probably thrown in the towel and completely scrapped the replay challenge. Instead, you now just have to revive 3 players.
