In Fortnite, a vehicle was removed after players discovered 3 exploits that can provide a clear advantage. We show you which exploits were found.
Which vehicle was removed? Fortnite Status announced on January 20th on Twitter that the zip lines caused problems and would therefore be removed from the game until a solution is found.
Why were zip lines removed?
Fortnite Status did not explain why the zip lines were removed from the game. It was merely mentioned that they caused problems.
However, the reasons are likely the 3 exploits found by players. They offer the players clear advantages. Here are the exploits that were found:
1. Fast Teleportation
What is this exploit? The Twitch streamer Cloakzy found a trick on how to teleport directly to a zip line from a distance below it.
This way, one can easily overcome obstacles such as mountains, waterfalls, and hills. Movement is thus simplified and grants the player using it a clear advantage:

2. Faster Landing
What is this exploit? The Twitch streamer Cloakzy also found a method to land faster through the zip lines.
Anyone flying directly over a zip line can teleport from a distance to the zip line. This saves time compared to when the glider is opened and flies down.
This method speeds up the entire landing process and provides a clear advantage as you can land and loot much faster than other players.

3. Destroy everything in the way
What is this exploit? Players also found a way to use zip lines as destruction machines. By connecting to the zip line while standing in the water, they obtained destructive feet or could “glitch” under the map.
The affected player could then simply walk, and any object in their way would be destroyed. This clearly provides a strong advantage as they could destroy opponents’ buildings, taking away necessary protection.

When will the zip lines return?
Fortnite Status confirmed in the Twitter post that zip lines will be reintroduced with the next update. However, it is not yet known when the next update will be implemented.
Anyone who still needed to complete the challenge “Use zip lines in different matches” can be happy. The challenge will automatically be completed.
It’s unfortunate, however, for the Overtime Challenge “Move 100 meters while dancing”. A player found the fastest solution for the dance task. This will no longer be possible as it involved zip lines.
What is certain is that these exploits will be fixed before the zip lines return to the game. They clearly provide a clear advantage and should not be used.
