In Fortnite , developer Epic is currently taking radical new paths: They are releasing significant updates. The last 2 patches have been well received by fans. The latest update on Tuesday actually brought back the shotgun. Additionally, many fan wishes are being fulfilled.
It has been like this all along: Fortnite is constantly in motion. After Epic received a lot of criticism for their changes to the game in the last months, the atmosphere has changed for the better in recent days.
For months, especially pros have not been able to stop complaining about Fortnite. That is changing right now.
Epic is giving players back many old toys.
What weapons have returned? Without much prior announcement, the actually small update to 9.30 on Tuesday brought back 4 weapons and items from the vault:
- the shotgun
- shockwave grenade
- silenced submachine gun
- revolver
Additionally, one weapon will be freed from the vault daily for the ongoing event “14 Days of Summer”.
Players had long requested the shotgun. Its return is now unanimously welcomed.
This change is also well received: Additionally, there are now 5 supply llamas per match, instead of 3 as before. They provide 350 materials instead of 200 as previously.
Generally, all players praise getting more materials and spending less time farming resources in Fortnite. This part is considered rather boring.
The “drum gun” is nerfed from 50 shots to 40 shots in the magazine. The unpopular tactical shotgun is found less frequently. These changes are also welcomed.
Is there any negativity? As a bittersweet twist, the popular “rift-to-go” is being removed.
Many players had grown accustomed to this item.
How is the patch being received? The update is being exceptionally well received. Players say:
- “These are two good patches in a row – what’s going on?”
- “Whoever made the last decisions should continue to make them.”
- “We just need a small buff for farming, and Fortnite is in the best state it’s been in a long, long time.”
This happened in the previous update: The last update was also well received, as Epic removed the “boom bow”, the hated weapon of professional players, and also strengthened the shotguns by removing a delay.
