In Fortnite: Battle Royale the first fan-designed area has finally been officially established. It will be called Grimy Greens and will appear on the “Block”. The new location is now in the game.
Update: Grimy Greens can now be found in the game. At least until Epic replaces it with a new location from the rotation.
What does the new area look like? The new location in Fortnite is an enclosed area resembling a type of industrial greenhouse facility. The new location has the following highlights:
- Dense vegetation inside the greenhouse halls
- Cornfields
- Flat roofs with many air conditioning units and other structures providing ample cover
- A hangar where a plane is also located
- An open space in front of the buildings, where wild shootouts are expected
Who invented it? The creator of the new area calls himself “Kaancitak”. He is likely the first player to have created an official area in Fortnite.
Where can you find Grimy Greens? Grimy Greens will be located in the northeast of the map, at the spot where the movie theater Risky Reels used to be. There is now “The Block“. Regularly, fan creations selected by Epic are showcased there. Grimy Greens will thus be the first fan creation to have made it into the game.

When will Grimy Greens arrive? However, Grimy Greens is not yet officially in the game at the time of this news. The new area has been presented, but not yet implemented. Epic has not yet announced a date but intends to do so as soon as possible.
