Fortnite Chapter 2 brought some new features to the game. One of them is fishing. Now you can even catch a mythical fish.
What kind of fish is this? This “fish” is actually a fishing trophy. It depicts a goldfish that resembles the Fishstick skin. The data miner Lucas7yoshi posted a picture of the trophy on Twitter:
What can the fish trophy do? When you find the trophy, you can unlock some achievements. You will receive them when:
- The trophy is found (fished from the water, not picked up from the ground!)
- An opponent is eliminated with it
- You are eliminated by a trophy
The fish trophy is a throwable item. You can throw it at opponents to eliminate them. It is supposed to cause about 200 damage. Enough to kill an opponent with a single hit.
The player BlakeBenbow posted a video where he was killed by a mythical goldfish. He had just eliminated an opponent and was dancing. Another opponent came from behind and hit him with the trophy.

Where is this fish trophy hidden?
Where can you find this trophy? You can only fish it out of the water. However, it is so rare that you can hardly find it. So if you definitely want to get the trophy, you’ll have to spend a lot of time fishing.
But that can be quite troublesome, as you wouldn’t want to be shot by opponents while fishing.
Has the mythical fish been found yet? The trophy is very rare and hard to find, but there are already a few players who have managed to do so.
The player Ollek posted a video that reportedly shows the first catch of the mythical fish.
In the video, you see 2 players after they have caught the fish. They are throwing it at each other. Later, you see one player in a fight against an opponent. He throws the trophy at the opponent and he goes down immediately.
