Fortnite is known for building and challenges the creativity of players, who can now even create their own games in Fortnite.
Fortnite has long been known for mixing shooter gameplay with building structures. This gave the battle royale matches a unique twist that players either loved or hated. The motto was: Don’t find cover, build one.
In 2022, however, the shooter underwent tremendous development. First, a mode without building was released, then the graphics were drastically improved. The power of Unreal Engine 5 was revealed to us.
But the change that Fortnite is experiencing is not over: Epic Games has now released a system that gives players unprecedented creative freedom and allows them to turn the colorful shooter into a completely new game.
Unreal Editor for Fortnite
What kind of system is this? Epic Games released the so-called “Unreal Editor for Fortnite” or “Creative 2.0” on March 22, 2023 (via epicgames.com).
Players can create their own worlds, modes, or games with the editor, which they can then publish within Fortnite.
Moreover, it should be possible to work together on a project with others using Creative 2.0.

Fortnite as ‘Roblox Killer’
What are the first reactions? Many players are excited and highly appreciate the influence that the editor will have. Some already see it as the Roblox killer, while others believe the editor will even rival Epic Games’ Fortnite events.
