The online shooter Fortnite is currently set for a big bang. There’s a lot happening in the game and tomorrow, on Thursday, the 25th of April, it should reach a first peak of 2019.
That’s why tomorrow is a special day in Fortnite: Due to Easter and the approaching end of the current Season 8, everything has shifted in Fortnite so much that it could explode tomorrow:
- the new patch 8.50 is expected
- the new crossover event with the Avengers from Marvel is supposed to start
- the weekly challenges are coming, which became more exciting last week – this time there is no leak revealing them in advance
- and the “in-game” event at the end of the season is building up to a climax

What is known about the new patch: Currently, only that with the patch 8.50 some long-standing bugs will be fixed.
What new features will come is still unknown. Usually, at the end of a season, it tends to be quiet regarding new features – currently, the baller is still causing mayhem.
There are strong calls for Epic to remove the baller from the game and roll back the controversial rule changes, but this is likely to be expected no earlier than the start of Season 9.
At the moment, all balance changes are even more sensitive than usual because the lucrative World Cup is ongoing, for which hardly any of the top streamers have qualified.

That’s why the challenges are currently exciting: In the past weeks, the challenges in Fortnite were rather dull. There were only quite easy tasks that required nothing special to complete.
Last week, there were again search and gather quests. The question is whether this will continue this week.
Since no patch has been deployed yet, there’s also no leak about what challenges will come.

This is how Epic promotes the Avengers event: For days, Fortnite has been announcing a crossover event with the Avengers from Marvel. One could already see:
- the shield of Captain America
- Thor’s axe
- and lastly, Iron Man
Fortnite once had a “Thanos” crossover. This mode was considered one of the most innovative in Fortnite. One can be curious about what Epic has in store for tomorrow.
One can expect skins, a new limited-time mode and/or special challenges.

And there’s also more happening: For days, a “end of season” event has been ongoing in Fortnite, which is quite mysterious.
This is also likely to intensify in the coming days. Fans are currently speculating about what will happen next.
These “end of season” events are sometimes epic when rockets or comets fly, and sometimes confusing when purple cubes sink in the lake – one can be curious about what Fortnite will come up with this time.
