The start of Season 5 – Chapter 2 in Fortnite: Battle Royale is drawing closer. As with every season start, there will traditionally be a new Battle Pass filled with skins and cosmetics. We will show you what is already known about it.
Update December 2, 8:30 AM: The trailer for Season 5 is here and gives a first glimpse of what players can expect in just a few hours.
Additionally, the Battle Pass trailer for Season 5 in Chapter 2 is now available. It features Mando, Pancake Cowboy, and other cool skins.
What is currently happening in Fortnite? The end of Season 4 – Chapter 2 is approaching, but before that, today, December 1, the live event with Galactus will take place.
After that, Season 5 should continue, although it is not yet known exactly when it will go live. However, hints suggest a start a few hours after the live event. But what do we know about the new Battle Pass?
Season 5 Battle Pass
What is already known? Normally, players can only discover the full content of a new Battle Pass on the launch day of the new season. This probably won’t change anytime soon, but Epic has accidentally already revealed some hints.
In the stores where you can buy Fortnite online, the new season title image appeared, showing 3 Battle Pass skins. Epic likely updated this accidentally. However, before it could disappear again, players had already saved it and shared it on Twitter:
Which skins are visible? The image featured 3 skins and a back accessory. There was a character with black-pink armor, a “man” with a pancakes head, and “The Mandalorian,” known from the Star Wars universe.
The back accessory is Baby Yoda, who is likely to hang on the back of the Mandalorian in his small capsule.
How much will the Battle Pass cost? So far, the Battle Passes in the standard version have always cost 950 V-Bucks. There is no indication that this price will change.
However, the Battle Pass package, which allowed players to buy the Battle Pass and 25 levels, has been replaced by a level package costing 1,850 V-Bucks. Epic explains this as follows:
The Battle Pass package has been replaced by a package with 25 levels that costs 1,850 V-Bucks. This offer can be purchased once per season by players who have reached a maximum of level 75. The package can be bought along with the standard Battle Pass or separately. You can also purchase it after obtaining the Battle Pass individually or if you received it as a member of the Fortnite Crew.
Epic in the FAQ about the Crew Subscription
These are the current known details about the Battle Pass. What else is included in the Battle Pass and what it will ultimately look like, we will probably only find out when Season 5 finally begins.

If you want to buy the Battle Pass anyway and also want to have an exclusive skin, another option would be to check out the Crew Subscription, which will be available from December 2.
