This is the announcement from Montanablack: He is communicating with his fans on Twitter, adopting a unique communication style.
On Tuesday, Montanablack announced a €25,000 Fortnite tournament. The money is being provided by Epic Games “out of honor.”
It is likely to be a duo tournament: The players will then head out in the “Duo vs Squad” mode and collect the most kills. They are indirectly competing against each other and navigating through regular lobbies.
The player with the most kills after 3 matches wins.
1st place receives €20,000, 2nd place €3,000, and 3rd place €2,000.
MontanaBlack invites 14 top players
Who is playing? It appears this is not an “open tournament,” but Montanablack has invited well-known players to join the hunt. He has announced 7 duo teams. It remains to be seen if more will be added:
- Among the invited players is Mongraal, also known as the Fortnite prodigy with slight impulse control issues.
- Mongraal will be competing alongside Teeqz, the Belgian who gained recognition in April 2018 with the then solo kill record.
- Kamo is perhaps one of the most well-known German players. He is competing for GhostGaming. Many are rooting for him.
The tournament is set to start today, Sunday, at 7:00 PM.
