The 15.40 update in Fortnite is here and brings the return of a special weapon and the “Air Royale” mode. MeinMMO shows you what has changed in the game.
This is what’s happening in Fortnite: Today, on February 16, the 15.40 update was deployed. The patch brings back known elements in the game – these have already been announced by Fortnite. We have summarized the most important changes in our own patch notes in German.
The Flintlock Pistol is back
What does this mean? The Flintlock pistol, also known as the Flintlock, was introduced for the first time in Season 8 – Chapter 1. Although the weapon causes significant damage, it was not only used as a gun by players.
The weapon, which produces quite a recoil, is now back in Fortnite with the 15.40 update. Players can now perform cool tricks with it and maybe even move faster across the map.
Return of the Air Royale Mode
What does this mean? After downloading the 15.40 update, players will now find a familiar LTM to choose from in the game. Now Air Royale has returned, which was also introduced in Season 8. In this mode, players only fight against each other in airplanes – anyone landing on the ground will be immediately eliminated.
According to Fortnite Status’s announcement on Twitter, the “Hot Feet” mode is also set to return in the coming days. In this mode, the map will be flooded with lava, and players must not touch the ground.
More exotic weapons available
What’s different now? In the announcement, Epic also announced that characters will offer more exotic weapons after the 15.40 update. But what does this mean exactly?
This change does not mean that there are new exotic weapons, but rather that the number available in matches has increased. So if you’re playing in a team now, all members can acquire an exotic weapon, not just one player. But there will still be plenty left for your opponents – so be prepared to face stronger guns soon.
The 15.40 update brought back rather nostalgic moments to the game, but also more opportunities to try out exotic weapons.
If you visit the NPC Mandalorian, you should be careful. This character can attack you before you even land.
