This is what’s happening in Fortnite: Today, on January 20, the Update 15.21 is being rolled out. The focus of the patch is the arrival of the Predator in Fortnite. We have summarized the most important changes in our own patch notes in German.
The Predator is here
What’s new? As revealed in the announcement for the update, there is now a new NPC character on the Fortnite map. This is the Predator, which can be found near its ship at Stealthy Stronghold.
Finding him could be difficult, as he has the ability to become invisible for 15 seconds. However, anyone who hits him should beware of his claws, as they will inflict damage. The data miner HYPEX has posted how much damage he causes:
New Mythical Item
What’s new? With the arrival of the Predator, there is also a new mythical item that can be obtained from the NPC. Although it’s not a “weapon”, it can still be useful in combat.
This item is the “Predator’s Cloaking Device”, which makes you invisible for 30 seconds. However, the effect is interrupted if you switch items in your inventory or perform an action such as swimming (via Twitter).
According to data miner HYPEX, there are 3 different items that the Predator can drop (via Twitter):
- A flopper fish
- Ammunition
- His mythical item
Map Changes
What’s new? With Update 15.21, there was only a small change to the map of Season 5, also here in connection with the Predator. In Hunter’s Haven, the new character is supposed to have a small home with a base. Players discovered this and shared it on Twitter with a clip:
