The update 14.10 in Fortnite is here and brings the new location Stark Industries to the map, the new mini-boss Iron Man, and more hero abilities.
When you open the game after successfully applying the update, a short trailer appears showcasing the new update: Stark Industries.
Here, the biggest changes are briefly highlighted:
New location: Stark Industries
What kind of place is this? It is the main hub of Tony Stark. Like other small islands that have appeared on the map, this one has newly been added. The special thing about it is its size, as this piece of land is massive.
Villain Galactus Approaches
There are now hostile drones on the Fortnite island that you must shoot down. Unlike the loot drones that only give you cool items, these are dangerous as they come from the villain Galactus.
However, if you defeat them, they will turn into loot that you can carry in your inventory.
New Hero Abilities
What’s new? The update 14.10 brought 2 additional hero abilities from the Marvel Universe. You can now find and use Iron Man’s and Thor’s abilities in the game.
Iron Man’s Unibeam can be found with the character himself, who is now located at the new place “Stark Industries”. If you eliminate Iron Man, he drops his special ability for you to use.
Thor’s Mjolnir Strike can be found with the loot drones that you can shoot down. One of them always contains a hero ability. Here you can see the gameplay of both superpowers in the game:
This way, the two superpowers are added to the list of all Marvel bosses and their special abilities.
New Marvel Game Mode
What’s new? With a new version of the well-known game mode Operation: Knockout, you can show how strong superheroes you are. The mode will work in the same way, allowing you to unlock various permanent advantages through progression.
However, the difference is clear, instead of advantages from the usual loot pool of Fortnite, you unlock the powers of Marvel superheroes here and can then use them against your opponents.
The worlds of Fortnite and the Marvel Universe are increasingly blending together. New locations are being added, superheroes are making themselves at home, and the Nexus War is approaching. It’s no surprise then that the Battle Pass of Season 4 consists only of Marvel characters.
