Update 12.50 in Fortnite is here and brings bug fixes, a nerf, and a map change. We show you in the German patch notes what has changed in the game.
The patch notes for the battle royale mode in Fortnite have not been published by Epic Games. However, we summarize the biggest changes that have been noticed so far.
A weapon has been nerfed
Which weapon is it? The Heavy Sniper has received a nerf. Body shots with the epic sniper rifle now deal only 126 damage instead of 150. The legendary version deals 132 damage for a body shot.
It seems that the wishes of pro Ninja have been heard, as it has now received a significant nerf.
Popular location finally named
What has changed? The location “Risky Reels,” which was known from Chapter 1, is now on the current map. However, this location was not named on the map.
After the update 12.50, it can be discovered as a “new” location, it is shown on the map, and is now easy to find.
Bug fixes
Which bugs have been fixed? With update 12.50, two bugs related to challenges have been fixed. The following were fixed:
- Local challenges do not appear when entering a new location
- “Block damage with the Kingsman” challenge was not counted correctly

New in Save the World
What’s new? In Save the World, the pirate vibe emerges, and some pirates have been sighted on the horizon.
Pirate hero available in the event shop: The constructor “Blakebeard Blackheart” increases the damage with cannonballs by 20%.
He will be available in the event shop starting May 2, 2020, at 2:00 AM.
New bow available: The “Powder Shot” bow can shoot husks with powder kegs. These explode after 2 seconds to deal damage to the husks.
The bow will be available in the event shop starting May 2, 2020, at 2:00 AM.
Another bow available: Another bow is coming to Save the World. The Xenon bow allows you to hit multiple husks with one shot.
You can find the Xenon bow in the standard llamas, not in the shop.

The update is not that big except for the two bug fixes and the map changes at the location Risky Reels, which is now a named location and clearly shown on the map. However, some players might still be pleased with the nerf of the strong Heavy Sniper. They wanted a nerf or for it to disappear entirely from the game.
