The update 12.31 is here in Fortnite and brings a few bug fixes. We show you in the German patch notes what has changed in the game.
There are some changes and bug fixes that went live with update 12.31.
The patch notes for the battle royale mode have not been released by Epic Games. However, we have summarized the biggest changes for you.
Graphics improvement on PS4
What has changed? With the patch, the graphics on PS4 have been improved. After the last update 12.30, there were bugs that caused the edges of hills to be rendered in blurry graphics.
This has now been fixed, and everything should be displayed correctly on the console again.
Codaxe pickaxe available again
What was the problem with the pickaxe? The Codaxe pickaxe was locked for a short time, and owners of this pickaxe could not use it.
There was a bug where the pickaxe could deal damage at longer distances and allowed players to farm faster. This bug has been fixed, and the pickaxe is now available again.
The Codaxe pickaxe is part of the Crypto set, which is allegedly inspired by Apex Legends.
No more crashes during the locker selection
What has changed? There was a bug that caused the game to crash when trying to select styles for cosmetics in the locker. With the update 12.30, the bug was fixed on PC, iOS, and Android.
This patch has now fixed it on all platforms. This means that on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, the bug should no longer occur.
What bugs are still in the game?
While this patch fixed three bugs, there are still other issues that remain in the game. These issues still need a fix:
- The grenades are still not back in the game after a serious exploit with grenades was found
- Controllers do not vibrate when players are hit
- The Skye challenge: Pull henchmen or opponents with a harpoon does not work on henchmen
These three bugs are set to be fixed with the next update. You can find all other issues that Epic is currently working on at the Fortnite Trello.
This patch has only fixed bugs and brought no new content, but these bug fixes are still important. Especially the bug fix for style selection is essential so that you can show off your cool style variants for Team Ghost or Shadow.
